MILWAUKEE--The Rockwell Automation, Inc. Board of Directors today declared a 29 percent increase in the quarterly dividend on its common stock to 29 cents per share, payable on December 4, 2006 to shareowners of record at the close of business on November 13, 2006. Before the increase, the quarterly dividend was 22.5 cents per share.
The board of directors of Rockwell Automation Inc. has approved a 29 percent increase in its common stock dividend to 29 cents per share, the company said Wednesday.
The company will pay the dividend on Dec. 4 to shareholders of record Nov. 13. Shares of Rockwell fell 42 cents to $61.58 in afternoon trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
Rockwell Automation Inc., which makes motor starters and power transmission products, said on Wednesday it raised its quarterly dividend by 29 percent to 29 cents.
The decision to increase the dividend follows a strong fourth-quarter earnings report last week. Chairman and chief executive Keith Norbusch added that it also reflects strong \"cash flow performance, solid financial position, and confidence in the future of Rockwell Automation.\"
